I was just wondering what the hell was wrong with my new foundation,I put it on and it looked like I just shoved my face right in to a paint bucket or something :P

This is amazing. As a guy the only thing that ever annoyed me about wearing foundation was being able to apply it well enough so nobody would notice I was wearing makeup.

This tip is the the single best thing since sliced bread!!!! Incredible
Ps. – I tried this out before posting, it really does work amazingly!

“damp your sponge and all will be well”

love that as a slogan, its real catchy. haha.

how damp should it be though? if its squeezed out well, the powder goes on and it instantly absorbs the dampness and dries out. if the sponge isnt squeezed out it starts to drip… :S

this totally educated me! i use a cream foundation and i didn’t really like it because it was going so thickly on my face, but i can’t wait to try this method out.
    So…Thanks! n.n

How about Bobbi Brown smooth foundation? WOuld you need to use a wet sponge? I work in a hospital environment and my skin looks dry despite using primers and dry skin products! Mind you, I have congested skin/combination skin. Smooth Foundation in the summer is very oily in comparison!

  16. ibeboutit21 says:

Faaaaaaaantaaaaaaastic! Who’d have thunk!?! I always hated cream foundations cause it always looked mask like, I can’t wait to try this.

  17. daniellesarahesq says:

This is honestly the BEST tip on youtube. I was hating all my foundations, and annoyed about the waste of $. Wetting the sponge did the trick. Thanks so much.

Excellent advice. Ever since I saw one of your first videos on applying full coverage foundation, I’ve started using a damp sponge. Wow, what a huge difference. Thank you for the advice and all your videos.

  23. NvrSettle says:

@mikkitopia I thought he was saying that too. So cute.

  24. NvrSettle says:

@juliagoolia72 ME too!! I am rejoining the damp sponge movement. lol.

  25. juliagoolia72 says:

What a brilliant idea, and you are so right. I was taught to put on makeup with a damp sponge but as time goes on you try new methods and the tried and true methods seem passee. But they are tried and true for a reason. I’m going back to the damp sponge!
