I stopped by Saks in San Francisco to get a makeup lesson with Dior National Makeup Artist Karen Hummel. She shared lots of insider tips and techniques that Ive been incorporating into my makeup routine. I love how she played up my eyes with the greys in the Smoky Jazz Jazz Club compact and used the new refreshing, cooling Diorskin foundation and powder. I was also totally impressed by how long and full my lashes looked when she layered two shades of the new Diorshow Iconic Mascara. To see a review of the collection and all the colors Karen used, visit my blog post at the-coveted.com

Oh no! What a bummer. That must be really tough with all the rubber mascara wands.
oh man, i can’t use that mascara, im deathly allergic to latex.
latex and rubber are basically the same thing
Yes, so many things to get excited about! I’m getting my makeup done by Karen again next week with the holiday collection. Can’t wait!
This was very informative. I love that big Kabuki brush….wow!! The Diorshow Mascara really made her lashes go Va-voom!! I really like that brow styler pen and the radiance booster pen! I like how it brightens-up the eye area; very nice!
Stop by one of their counters for a makeup lesson so you can see how everything looks. They have great makeup artists.
Thank you! I love that about the Jazz Club palette so nice to have something so adorable that can be used again!
This was very well-done. I’ve purchased Dior products for over 25 years and no others compare — especially the eye shadows, lipsticks, and concealers. Needless to say, I had to have the Jazzclub collection to add with what I already have.
As a ps, you can pop out the compartment when the make-up is done and use the clutch for another use later on. J’adore Dior!
Thanks Sonja, for posting this for us. You look amazing!
Beautiful!! I would love to try Dior but it’s so expensive I’d hate to spend the money not knowing if it would look good on me,although I can’t imagine Dior not looking good on anyone. Wish they gave out samples.: (
Me too! Love, love it!
i love skin flash!!
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed the video. It was wonderful working with Karen and discovering her great tips! xo
Sonja, you look beautiful. Karen, fantastic job! You did an excellent job with your instructions and utilized all your products in such a great way. I learned so many tips. Thank you for the video
Thanks, Karen! I was wondering about your polish as well. So pretty!
I’m glad you like the nail polish color! I am wearing the nail polish color “Reglisse Liquorice”, it’s a beautiful rich eggplant shade.
So glad you like the video! I’m not sure what the makeup artist is wearing. I’ll check with her and see if she remembers.
Love this very much! Which nailpolish do you have on your nails in this video?
Thanks!
Absolutely!
I adore this look! it’s perfect for going out at night
Thank you!!
Thanks! It’s a very pretty collection and Karen has great tips and techniques!
Yes, I live in SF. I’ll keep you posted if I work with an artist who feels comfortable with an audience. Lately I mostly shoot in private rooms to have less background noise and distractions.
It’s just the lighting. I’m glad you like the video. Liner really is important. It truly defines and brings out your eyes.
How come your left eye (our right) looks darker? Is it the lighting or am I just seeing things? I love how this turned out! Again, it did look funny without liner. I can totally see now that liner really pulls everything together. Yesterday when I went to work I didn’t put any liner with my eye routine and I felt naked on my eyes!
Sonja, do you live in the city? I noticed your always there. LOL. I would love to know where your going to be next maybe I can see what you do. That would be awesome!
