Do you mean for foundation or for eyes? I think that for foundation you get a more even coverage if you use a good foundation brush (whether it’s liquid or cream). Besides that, sponges harbor a lot of bacteria which can cause your skin to break out. As long as you clean your brush regularly it won’t harbor bacteria like a sponge. Same with eyeshadows, the application is much easier and you can’t really blend with a sponge.
